A Month Long Celebration

During May our beautiful gardens are at their floral best and we are celebrating with a whole range of events designed to help you get the most our of this most colourful season. The garden will take on a spectactular riot of colour with rhododendrons, azaleas and magnolias

Rhododendron walk and talk on 12th  and 19th May with one of our own expert gardeners £10 per person (Season ticket holders £6) includes garden admission followed by coffee and cake, booking essential as places are limited

Join our friendly volunteer garden guides for garden tours on Friday 20th May  at 1pm -(normal garden admission applies)

For the less mobile we will be running buggy tours round the garden on Friday 20th May. These tours last an hour and finish with chance to spend some time looking round the Conservatory (self guided). Tours at 11am 1pm and 2.30pm. £10 per person (season ticket holders £5). Booking is essential on the buggy tours as spaces are limited to 5 people per tour

A walk and talk with a difference on 26th May. This Plant Hunters walk and talk is led by our Communities Officer and will delve into the history of the plant hunters who originally brought back specimens that now feature in the collections here at Wentworth Castle Gardens. Fascinating stories- battling dangerous animals, disease and hazardous terrain. Booking essential as spaces are limited and will be followed by coffee/tea and cake £10 per person (Season ticket holders £6)

Events with famillies in mind

There will be children’s craft activities on Sunday 29th May and Monday 30th May 1-3pm free with garden admission. There will be a fun children’s rhododendron garden trail featuring the plant pot people on the weekends 14th and 15th May, 21st and 22nd May  and then from 28th May and throughout the school holiday.
