Volunteers
Do you enjoy the outdoors or have an interest in gardening and wildlife? Then why not play an active part in our restoration project by rolling up your sleeves and helping us to transform the only Grade 1 Listed Landscape in South Yorkshire?
Following the success of our restoration project, we are looking for local folk to help our garden team and assist us on open days in 2010.
Full training will be given and the project will offer volunteers the opportunity to enjoy the therapeutic benefits of outdoor activities and community involvement.
Current volunteer opportunities consist of:
- Helping out on open days (10-5pm, Saturdays and Sunday) in the form of garden and house tours.
- Working in the cafe, admissions desk and retail areas.
- Assisting with gardening duties under the supervision of our garden team on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week (from 9.30am until approximately 12pm).
- General assistance at events.
Unfortunately we do not at this point in time have the resources to offer volunteer opportunities in any other areas. This may, however, change as our project progresses.
