The Strafford Arms – our “local” – this historic pub was once the guest house for Wentworth Castle. The pub benefited from a major refurbishment in 2014.
Stainborough Cricket Club – The cricket club was a favourite haunt of Captain Bruce Canning Vernon-Wentworth, the last of the Wentworth family to live in the big house. A full schedule of cricket matches can be found on the club’s website.
